Detox Green Smoothie Recipe

If you’re trying to detox after an indulgence-filled weekend, this nutrient-rich smoothie is for you. Loaded with healthy superfoods like kale, cucumber, pear, ginger and cacao nibs that will help your body get back on track in no time. Plus, it tastes amazing — Just 164 calories per serving.

Ingredients:
  • 42 grams Kale Leaves
  • 1/2 Cucumber (chopped)
  • 1/2 Lemon (juiced)
  • 1 Pear (peeled and chopped)
  • 3 grams Ginger (grated)
  • 3 grams Ground Flax Seed
  • 178 milliliters Water
  • 2 1/2 Ice Cubes
  • Sprinkle of Cacao Nibs

Directions:

1. Place all ingredients together in a blender. Blend until smooth. Be patient! No one likes clumps in their smoothies. It may take 1 minute or longer to get a great, smoothie-consistency.

2. Divide between glasses, add some cacao nibs and enjoy!

Our Story

When a measles outbreak in Samoa killed 83 people in 2019, husband and wife team Justin Theng and Lasi Theng decided something had to be done to help improve the country’s infrastructure and increase prosperity. Lasi is from a Samoan farming family, and when she and her husband visited her family’s cacao plantation from their home in Australia, they found a viable solution was already there.
